Today we received a postcard with the story of a boy called Emil, who has a little sister called Ida. When Emil is mischievous his father gets mad at him and sends him off to a little wooden cabin in the garden. When he is there Emil carves figures out of wood. Since he is quite mischievous he has a lot of wooden figures. Hundreds of them! But Emil is also good and treats Ida really well.

When I am in Madrid I love finding objects that I have known since my childhood. All these cups, bowls, spoons, tablecloths and other things have moved around through different houses but they are still useful and beautiful and hold memories.
